We met in 2017 after Aliye moved to the United States. Recognizing the importance of English around the world, we wanted to reach people in developing countries for them to learn English and American Culture. So, we started IYELA!

During quarantine we became much more accustomed to online meetings and realized we could use it to connect with those around the world. We strive to give the opportunity to learn English and make friends as well!
